I was surprised an attack earlier this week on Canadian forces didn’t get more play in the US.
A known ISIS sympathizer in Quebec intentionally drove his car into two Canadian soldiers in uniform in a parking lot. He took off and his car crashed in a subsequent police chase. He climbed out of the car and is reported to have charged at police carrying a knife. He was killed by police.

To my knowledge, this would appear to have been the first instance where an ISIS sympathizer has caused someone else’s death in North America.

The general but unspoken belief in Canada is that the Ottawa shooting is the second.
