Discussion: Can’t Afford To Vote: Lack Of Funds Can Keep Felons From Getting Voting Rights Back

Doing whatever they can to subvert Democracy
More Voters = Democratic advantage
They can not win on a level playing field and will do everything to suppress the vote
FFS they don’t even want Democracy in their own party
They are so stupid and blind they have planted this time bomb that will blow up the Republican party the minute someone challenges Trump
RIP Republican party
RNC committee unanimously approves measure to offer Trump 'undivided support’

i wonder if someone’s been sending out copies of “the new jim crow.” the u.s. is once again a world leader in denying the vote to those convicted of criminal offenses–first when they’re in jail, and then after they’re lucky enuf to be paroled. and of course, it’s people of color that america has been filling more and more and more prisons with. letting them vote after prison is a good start–many states deny the vote to released felons regardless of $$$–just because they can. but let’s take that next step, which oughta be the first step(imho), and stop imprisoning young men(mostly) just because they happen to have dark skin or live in poverty.

Poll taxes by another name!

IF ONLY the GOP would spend HALF as much time worrying about Democracy as they do trying to screw people over, this country WOULD ‘be great again’. Nasty liars.

If states like Florida do end up taking this tack, they will likely face litigation from civil rights groups for violating the 14th Amendment

Not to mention the 24th Amendment, which bans poll taxes.
