I didn’t know that Lewis and Clark were Republicans, that they were against same sex marriage, and had been married 12 times on their trip! (that’s not 12 each, its together).

Back in the 80s or early 90s I talked to a college kid my own age who was raised in Ol’ Soviet Russia. He said that he and his pals had to go to camp every summer and learn about the Unbridled Glory of the USSR.
They wore neckerchiefs and sang songs and heard fictionalized accounts of their country’s prowess. He chuckled telling us.
