As someone pointed out here: Thankfully his Second Amendment rights were protected.
I’m just thankful that no other folks here are bothered enough to be bothered. We ladies can’t talk about rape and other sexual violence without the topic getting changed to the manifold wrongs suffered by men.
I’m personally astonished that when I have to nudge my husband to roll onto his side to quiet his snoring, I’m not frogmarched onto the lawn for execution. No doubt, a key promise when it runs for re-election.
Hopefully by then we’ll all be under the floorboards and dead.
She said they and others heard constant gunfire from the area of the gunman’s house, but couldn’t say for sure it was him firing.
“You could hear the yelling. He’d go off the hinges,” she said. The shooting, “it would be during the day, during the night, I mean, it didn’t matter.”
She and her father, who is president of the homeowners’ association, said neighbors would complain to the sheriff’s department, which referred the complaints back to the homeowners association.

Reading about how the military neglected to inform the FIB about rejected soldiers, I wondered if the oversight was because those responsible for notifications didn’t want these men to lose the right to own guns.
My guess is that he had said similar things before and that he had gradually gotten worse so she didn’t recognize a change in kind. In hindsight she recognized his apology to her as a danger signal but at the time she took it to refer to the money she had spent to bail him out.
I understand that the school officials knew to mobilize very quickly as soon as they heard the first gunshots from a distance and didn’t waste a second. They immediately went into lockdown and the gunman couldn’t find a way in.
