I can’t express just how much respect & appreciation I have for Jerry Brown…although I have to confess that some of the former came from his dating Linda Ronstadt in the late 70s.
Because the Feds still have to agree to the proposal. Basically, Jerry is saying, “You say this is about stopping terrorism and drug trafficking; so here’s some troops specifically instructed to stop terrorism and trafficking. Agreed?”
Either Donny agrees (and doesn’t further his racist aims) or declines California’s offer (showing he was not really trying to counter terrorism / drug traffic but instead specifically wants to punish brown people).
IMHO, this is exactly the right response to Trump’s delusions. Set up a choice where Donald can not get what he really wants and either has to admit that his approach was misguided or that his aims are transparently racist.
In other words, Governor Brown will be sending 400 of THESE to the border
The glass half full person that I am is thinking Governor Brown’s guardsmen just might have a high percentage of Hispanics and other people of color who understand their mission in regard to their State.

This is pretty much why I don’t want him impeached. In a nutshell, if we impeach him, we get Pence.
BUT if we leave him where he is and take the Senate, then he can’t get a thing accomplished and can’t make any appointments. He’s nice and helpless where he is. Plus, we get to see him boiling with fury every day, but remember it’s HELPLESS fury.
People will just have to understand we won’t have a president for 2 years.
Yes, it is a superb troll that is win-win for California and the US. Brown just schooled Trumpp on running a government.
Pence hasn’t got a cult following. Will get wiped out in 2020, not least because Trump cultists will suspect him of opportunism. Also won’t be able to do much with a Democratic House.
I don’t care about the House so much as I do the Senate.
Patriotic Americans will accept that, knowing they’ll be much better off later.
