Its the billionaires part that is key. Carson and Trump are not listening to that wing of the party at all. Rubio has been actively courting them since long before he decided to run. His entire stump speech is Establishment talking points, with a strong neocon slant.

Not considering him “establishment” because he rode a TP wave into the Senate is part of the fallacy that the Powers That Be within the party are deluding themselves with; that he can reach both wings and unify the party.

He can’t. The TP took him out back of the woodshed, quite publicly, after the Immigration Reform bill he championed (which he now totally opposes…Rubio didn’t like that beating). And while he has tried to make nice with them since, his blatant pleas to the Establishment has made them very wary of him.

It’s not possible to be in both wings today. The TP requires such total purity, that merely talking to Establishment players disqualifies a person. And Rubio is doing much more than just talking.

I realize my post wasn’t particularly clear; this whole situation really does have me worried. It’s just that this time period we’re in, the fourth quarter 2015, has the feeling of being on a roller coaster going slowly up to the top - only to find that the downside of it is at a 90 degree angle. With no brakes.

$$$ doesn’t cure Stupid.
No matter how much his Oligarch friends spend you can’t overcome the FACT that he is just another rich guy who is not all that smart and only got where he is by his Daddy’s connections and being born into a rich, politically-connected family.
It doesn’t help that “He was Born on Third Base and is Convinced he Hit a Triple” and his EGO won’t let him ever admit that he is wrong about anything.

Just because the GOTPers like to pretend that Dubya didn’t exist doesn’t mean the rest of the world has obliged and forgotten him.

You’re right. She did. $6.8M.

Trump says: That’s one his wife’s cousins! Probably snuck him into the country! WE NEED A YOOGEREST WALL.

Didn’t stop Dubya from winning the Presidency twice.

Bush would have a better chance of becoming President if he changed his last name to Hitler.

Get ready for Jeb! to go very negative. It’s in his blood.

Most politicians spend that kind of money to get their name out and let people know they’re serious about running. Jeb! Bush! seems to have spent $4.8 Million to obscure his family connections, and hide from his all-to-obvious name association. That was never gonna happen. The problem for Jeb! is that his policies and the people on his team are exactly the same as big brother George’s. Everyone knows that about him, and they aren’t buying that smelly can of dog shit anymore.

The Bush! legacy gives people a sense of deja vu all over again with him in the running…

In Sept. he held a townhall in NH and lied about how we don’t have portability in health insurance. Are you kidding me? Does he not know how the PPACA works? You can now, as a result of the implementation in Obamacare keep your insurance when you lose a job, a main component of the law. He also wants the same fucking health savings accounts that his brother tried to push for. A really bad idea. That means you have to have money to begin with to put into an account in anticipation of anything to do with seeing a doctor if you’re under-insured, which you’d likely to be under his proposal. The only thing he suggests people do is getting catastrophic health insurance. Not a word about preventative health care, which is what is successfully driving all healthcare costs down today under the ACA.

The guy works for the moneyed Republican establishment class. If he had any brains, which he doesn’t, he’d have dumped Karl Rove et al., and really tried to “be his own man” from the start. Problem is…he doesn’t know what being your own man means.

Back in the first month of fund raising, Jeb! Super Pacs had over 100 million. I hope they waste every last dime of it.
