We are becoming less and less of a democracy. The executive branch has come to power by way of corrupt influence by a foreign adversary and with the electoral college over ruling the will of the majority of voters. The legislative branch consists of an upper house where representation of the one-halve million people living in Wyoming is equated with the 40 million living in California, and the lower house is gerrymandered specifically to thwart democratic representation. Now those two branches have conspired to politicize and therefore de-legitimize the judiciary.

Oh, stop it. Schumer agreed to a deal that required unanimous consent. If a single member of his caucus, from Manchin and Heitkemp to Warren and Sanders, hadnât wanted that to happen, all they had to do is vote ânoâ on the motion. That that didnât happen means he had 100% approval from his caucus.
What does walking out accomplish, as opposed to the kind of disruption theyâve been doing this morning?
Unless the usual suspects cover the walkout seriously, all it means is more softball posturing for Kavanaugh and the friendly senators interviewing him, and shorter hearings.

I hope that the Democrats have the cojones to ask Brett Kavanaugh the following three questions under oath. Did he conspire to keep the documents from review and whether any of the documents pertains to criminal activity. Why did Brett Kavanaugh lie under oath during his earlier confirmation hearing. Finally whether he has been a Russian operative at any point in his life. There are numerous press reports that Chuck Grassley and his staff were actively conspiring with and working for Russian intelligence during the 2016 election. I would not be surprised Kavanaugh is involved as well.
I think they are hiding something criminal in his record not just something bad, evil or sinful.
Iâm not making up my own facts. Try and stay up. Feinstein, as ranking minority member, âcalls the shotsâ for the minority. Sen Whitehouse said as much this morning before the hearings. He was more inclined to not show up considering the way they were abused with the document dump from the night before. But he was told no, weâre all showing up.
There is only one option. 2020 we take the White House, the Senate and the House. Then we change the Supreme Court to seat 25 justices and pack the court. It will defang forever this nonsense fight over justices. Then we start an amendment to limit terms to a maximum of about 20 years. We also expand the lower courts. 9 justices is just too small for our country to be representative in any reasonable way. Itâs unfair to Conservatives and Liberals. A larger body can reflect American thinking more accurately.
