Not only was his apology not enough, but it was way too late. I think he knows that there will not be an indictment of that killer cop, and that all hell is going to break loose when the city hears that news, and he stupidly thinks this way to late, lame apology is going to do something to stop that from happening.
FACT, if any normal person had gunned down a kid in the street as Wilson did, and there were multiple eye witnesses, including two WHITE men not even from that community but just there working, and all of those witnesses said the same thing, then any of us would be sitting behind bars, charged with murder, and probably with no bail. Wilson gets a paid vacation, and people raising almost a half a million dollars for him, and police in that town being in their faces wearing “I am Darren Wilson” bracelets".

I recall a college teacher asking my class what they did when stopped by a cop and they thought it was unjust.
All the white boys in class, except me, bragged about how they would put down and disrespect the cop as was their right as an American, and they all knew it. “Fuck you!” was their favorite response.
All the blacks in the class advised repect and cooperation, fearing the cops power over them. “Yes, officer” was their favorite response.
I had been in a few demonstrations and was aware that a cop had a gun and felt himself in charge and you had better not disrespect that, for fear for your life. They could play very rough. If the situation warrented it or not you could soon be dead.
That disparity in perception: You can’t get any more real than that.

This comments sections has not worked well for me since the change a few months ago. I NEVER get to see all of the comments. Usually just 3 or for. The rest are “Loading” for ever and ever and ever and ever…
