This has the Maxwell Smart ā€œWould you believeā€¦ā€ feel to it.

More like theyā€™re afraid of metaphorical assassination on election day ā€¦

After all, most assassins, gun nuts, and general crazies, are, we all know, liberal democrats. In pink pussy hats.

The left is coming to get you but not with guns you paranoid snowflakes.

Time for the NRA to make an unequivocal statement on the use of violence for political ends. Perhaps Nugent has something to say about Americaā€™s long history of Democrat assassins and gunmen?

Why not just give each of them a gun and tell them to ā€˜Man Upā€™? If itā€™s good enough for teachers, after allā€¦

After all those Hillary rallies where people were trying to incite the crowd into violence against the oppositionā€¦wait a minuteā€¦I think those were actually Trump ralliesā€¦I think itā€™s the NRA members who have the guns, not the ACLU or moveon.org folksā€¦

Clearly Mo doesnā€™t realize they are retiring because folks like himself, Trump, Ryan and all the others have virtually assinated the Republican brand.

How much of this is insane projection by a teabuggerered, neocon, conservo-Christianist and how much is an intentional effort to throw raw meat to his most demented, devoted, and delusional athletic supporters?

He is correct. We are coming after him and the rest of his motley crew of traitors and flag waving, bible beating, gun toting pseudo- nationalistic patriots. But with ballots, not bullets.

I would have thought theyā€™d be more afraid of assasination by their Russian overlords.

Like their local subsidiary, the NRA.

The 25th Amendment. If it applies to the President, should it also apply to a Representative who is no longer connected to reality?

ā€œThere are a growing number of leftists who believe the way to resolve this is not at the ballot box but through threats and sometimes through violence and assassinations.ā€

Remember Sharron Angle, who fretted about this?
> Well itā€™s to defend ourselves. And you know, Iā€™m hoping that weā€™re not getting to Second Amendment remedies. I hope the vote will be the cure for the Harry Reid problems.

I donā€™t seem to remember Brooks being worried about that.

I would hate to diminish an actual threat, but it seems to me that these folks are awfully unhappy about having to run in actually competitive races. Itā€™s hard to distinguish between actual problems and people who believe that the first amendment only applies to people who believe as they do. Still, if there are actual threats, they should be investigated and prosecuted if itā€™sappropriate.

Beyond ridiculous.

My fear ā€“ well supported by recent history ā€“ is that the vote will be suppressed and, um, rigged. By whom I hesitate to say. I might get that midnight knock on the door soon.

Doesnā€™t reek of desperation or anything, does it, Mo?
