Another visa overstay. Obama has refused to even attempt to find and deport these folks. Many are H-1Bs and J-1s whose original visa has expired. Many are students who dropped out (like the Boston Marathon bombers and the 9-11 terrorists). Why did S744 not include a section on finding and deporting visa overstays, but only included a “study the problem” section? Every other country in the world deports visa overstays. In most countries, you must check in periodically, and when you are caught, you pay a large fine, and you pay for your own plane ticket.
We need to deport visa overstays. They are visa overstays for a single reason: they take jobs that Americans DO want to do.
From a bill summary: “Directs: (1) the Comptroller General (GAO) to review the Secretary’s methods of tracking entering and exiting aliens and detecting overstays, and (2) the Secretary to evaluate the security risks of aliens entering the United States without an approved Electronic System for Travel Authorization verification.” What a pile of shit. Deport the fuckers. Don’t study the fucking problem.
