I don’t know whether I believe that things happened exactly the way she is saying they did on the stand, mostly because she waited so long to defend herself. I am not saying that she is lying, but her credibility would be much stronger if she had cooperated with prosecutors from the beginning. Then, Christie might be the defendant and she wouldn’t be looking at her life and career in tatters.

Christie put Jared Kushner’s father in jail. Even though the sentence was ridiculously light for what he did, my understanding is that Jared has forgiven no one connected with the prosecution, including his father’s siblings and Christie. So, no, Christie was never going to be VP.
