Discussion: Breitbart Can’t Resist Going After Its Ex-Reporter For Getting A New Gig

Oh? I thought you’d find it a pleasant change from the Democratic primary.

…and so unlikely …

Sounds like Breitbart reporter Patrick Howley is trying to channel Con-man Trump!

Yeah, Ms. Jerde does yeoman work trying to angle this article as a squabble within/between a media organization, but no matter how many time she says ‘columns’, ‘reporter’, ‘penned’, ‘piece’, ‘editor’ or ‘article’ you just can’t throw a tarp on top of a manure pile and say it’s compost. Nothing good will ever grow out of that piece of shit and I can’t even feel sympathy for young folks working there thinking they’re journalists while they tarnish any future hope of calling themselves such.

“While this reporter’s career continues to soar thanks to the loyalty of supportive and patriotic Breitbart News readers, Fields and Weinstein have seen their GOP prominence dwindle,” the reporter penned.

Um…he knows he’s at Breitbart, right?

And, in any case, how is this even news? Sounds more like a scene rejected from Mean Girls.

Michelle Fields: I am a principled woman and independent. I like being respected and I like small govt. I will therefore vote for Trump as he is best suited to move this country forward.

To be honest I do not know what to think about it. A professional journalist could work both at a left-leaning and right-leaning publication, he/she can move between the two and yet remain a professional with high degree of integrity. Someone who works at a rag like Breitbart could, in principle, have some degree of integrity (with just very screwed up principles). But I can’t think of any reporter at Breitbart as a professional journalist. Now, when a left-leaning (or arguably far left) publication hires such a reporter from a right-wing rag, especially from Breitbart, I have zero trust that such a person will report facts rather than lies matching preconceived expectations of his/her readers at any given publication. As a result my opinion of that left-leaning publication deteriorates even further.

Thanks.
Best of show!

It’s all for the money and the power and the glory. Who wouldn’t want to hook up with Arianna? She’s the third Gabor sister.

The right-wing media world really is like Mean Girls slam book. This clown shouldn’t try to make fetch happen.

Pro tip: Don’t believe anything you see posted at Breitbart’s Mausoleum. It’s all BS.

Since its inception, I have called it ‘Brickshit,’ but yours works as well.

Hack off!

May the best of the worst win.

Breitbart - Getting lies to you faster by ignoring ethics!

I just saw Fields interviewed on MSNBC. Pretty much just negative on Drumpf. If she sticks to that she’ll do fine at HuffPo.

“While this reporter’s career continues to soar thanks to the loyalty of supportive and patriotic Breitbart News readers, Fields and Weinstein have seen their GOP prominence dwindle,” the reporter penned.

Okay, first of all, there is no sentence in the English language that includes the words “soar” and “Breitbart,” unless it was merely a misspelling of “sore.”

Secondly, what exactly is the proper reaction when a person tries to flout something that is entirely unfloutable? I remember meeting this attractive young woman in a midtown bar last year and we started chatting, during which time she announced, with a bit of fanciful facial fanfare, that she worked at FOX News. It was so sad that she found this worth sharing as an admirable tidbit. I told her about the time in my life a couple decades before when I had a desperate addiction to heroin and cocaine that eventually left me homeless, penniless and struggling to meet each new day, and I explained to this wide-eyed naif that I would happily repeat that time in my life before I EVER took a job at FOX News.

I would happily tell Patrick Howley the same thing, right after I back-handed his pathetically moronic face for thinking it was cool to work at Deadbart.

I checked out the comments section on the Breitbart column. Misogyny has definitely found a home there with the Breitbart boys who never grew up.

Or “Not So Brightbart”

That was my immediate reaction also. Howley pretty much explicitly identifies Breitbart as an arm of the Republican Party. The media should stop referring to it as a “conservative” news organization and call it what it is–a Republican propaganda organization.

You may be right.
