That’s a lot of “ifs”. If we could only count on the dems to vote in off election years….
This is a serious question: where did they go?
@PluckyInKY: he realized that if anyone was going to keeping pissing on him, it might as well be someone he’s related to.
I did not see the interview but clearly he should have been asked about the fact that the GOP created that “jackass” and empowered them.
One advantage of 2018 that wasn’t the case in 2010 or even 2014 is that a whole lot of truly progressive Democrats are up for reelection. Instead of running from Obama or Clinton (assuming she wins next year) they will have the ability to run with both of them. Unlike the past two midterms, some of our strongest campaigners and candidates are running that year. Instead of being forced to run as Republican lite or “Obama, who??”, Democrats can actually run as Democrats.
I also think the angry old white folks who typically vote in big numbers in midterm elections will be slightly less inclined to vote for some batshit moron if the president is white, even if she’s a she. I also think it will help that minority voters will actually have a real impact.
This has me LMAO.
Home? He’s probably having his furniture moved into his new offices on K Street this weekend…
I’m telling ya… I have $5.00 on Boehner introducing the Senate-passed Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill to the floor of the house for open vote on his last day in office. Then he will throw up deuces and walk out. Epic mic drop.
Beautifully stated!
He didn’t just “throw shade” at Cruz. He just threw shade at the entire base of the GOP. Parse the comments, and you’ll see he did the following:
- Claimed they don’t understand the constitution.
- Claimed they are true followers of the Lord.
- Called one of their biggest demagogues and asshole.
This was about the most perfect exchange to enable a fracture of the GOP base as anybody could have hoped for.
Bingo!
Unlike Obama, I’m not convinced he ever gave any except for his job.
Too bad the last three elections didn’t show them.
I posted that very idea on Friday. And I also said the fringe is gonna wake up Monday from their hangover and Boehner will still be Speaker. Without fu&ks to give. The spankings have commenced.
I’m guessing it took him about 2 hours to start wondering why he ever fought to keep his position.
"… and one more thing: I can finally stop pretending my name is pronounced ‘Bay-ner’ "
Now that they’ve rid themselves of the last merely hard-right republican, the GOP now has the purity of being 100% batshit insane extremist.
Jackass insinuates that he is a Democrat but the elephant in the room is that he is a horse’s ass, or in other words a typical Republican.
If he could some how locate that Jobs Bill that was sent over there and bring it up — Then, and only then, would I even consider absolving the SOB for anything – As much bullshit as he has caused the American People — I would much prefer he be brought up on charges ---- Let him spend a couple weeks explaining to a few inmates why it takes so long to affect change — I don’t care if the friggin Pope kissed him right between the eyes — The SOB is still going straight to hell — GOOD RIDDANCE ! ! —
What would stop Boehner from seeking the GOP presidential nomination as a late entry candidate? He can always move over to K Street if his run is unsuccessful. Right now he’s got to be thinking he would make a better president than any of the other Republican candidates.
This fraud should be arrested.
What’s with this politically correct nonsense invading our news media? Why are they dancing around Ted Cruz being a jackass? He’s a jackass! What’s next, we can’t point out the President is black or that the Pope is Catholic?
