Discussion: Bloggers Who Broke Menendez Prostitution Allegations Are Taking A Victory Lap

Discussion for article #239779

It’s too early for that lap.

Carlson is a guy who got into it with Mickey Kaus, over an immigration column that could have effected Carlson’s Fox News check.

Plus the original writer of the Menendez piece is now working for Breibart.

Now if the new discovery is allowed to go forward, then Menendez is likely in some trouble. Right now? Nope.

Menendez should switch parties. Solves two problems. Latino outreach and the sex allegations become a “witch hunt.”

Since Menendez has been indicted on corruption charges, this is one time they are not taking an early victory lap. This guy is bad news. He should resign so the Democrats can take a victory lap. This jerk even opposes the Iran deal.

Is Tucker Carlson Geraldo Rivera’s younger brother?? Just wonderin’.

IIRC the original story was fed to the Daily Caller by an anonymous emailer that used a nom de guerre that was a play on the name or initials of a previous (FL? or NJ?) congressman busted for corruption. Very fishy.

Edit to add:

The federal investigation of Menendez and Melgen began three years ago when a mysterious tipster [Pete Williams] whose true identity has not been disclosed tipped off the FBI about allegations of sex parties with underage girls at the doctor’s resort home in Casa de Campo.

Pete Williams is the nickname of former Senator Harrison A. Williams Jr., Democrat of New Jersey; in 1983, he became the first senator jailed in 80 years, for his role in the so-called Abscam case
