Discussion: Blankenship Blocked From Running Third-Party In West Virginia Senate Race

He seems nice.

Good, he can go back to his day job as a bad character in a 40s B Movie.

The S.S. Blankenship has sunk.

That’s too bad. I was looking forward to more “Cocaine Mitch” commercials.

Broderick Crawford. If Broderick Crawford had been dropped on his head, repeatedly, as an infant.

Honestly, would it surprise anyone if Trump tweeted Comet Ping Pong had been insufficiently investigated?

Note to West Virginia Rethugliklans: You can still vote for him as a write-in candidate. But beware: You’ll have to spell his name curecklee for your vote to count.

Who made this decision, the clerks? I thought they had impeached the whole court.

They’ve already packed the court with Rethugliklan loyalists.

Yes, they did, but they haven’t had a trial yet, so two of the original five still sit on the court. (Two resigned.) Perhaps the Blankenship case was added incentive to get rid of them, as the five-member court had a 3-2 Democratic split…

Chief Justice Margaret Workman and Justice Beth Walker heard the appeal, along with three circuit judges.

Paul Farrell was appointed to fill in for suspended Justice Allen Loughry, who faces an impeachment trial in the state Senate along with a federal trial over allegations including that he repeatedly lied about using his office for personal gain.

Workman appointed circuit judges Alan Moats and Darrell Pratt to fill in for Robin Davis and Menis Ketchum. Ketchum retired last month before the House of Delegates impeached the court’s four other justices. He has pleaded guilty to a felony fraud count related to his personal use of a state vehicle and gas fuel card and faces up to 20 years in prison. Davis retired after she was impeached.

Was just going to add my curious two cents. How could W.Va act sensibly here when they did this which was triggered by overspending on new decor.

Exhibit A:

Late Monday night [August 13], after a long day of discussion and at times testy debate, the West Virginia House of Delegates passed 11 articles of impeachment against the four sitting justices of the Supreme Court of Appeals, the state’s highest court.

Is this the pre-impeachment supreme court, or the post-impeachment supreme court?

10-4!

I hope that Blankenship will split the Repuke fascist vote by mounting an expensive, sour grapes ‘write in’ campaign. They can keep him from being listed on the ballot, but they can’t stop him from mounting a write in campaign. And, gladly, they can’t stop him running lots of ‘cocaine Mitch’ commercials.

Fuck you you murderer. Please, die of a very painful disease. Like many of your employees who survived for a short time after working in your mines.

(Jeez, I hate my aggressive anger when it surfaces)

But, that being said, FUCK YOU!

Still no word on Jill Stein.

“…and your little moustache!”
