Discussion: Bill Moyers: It's Time For These Two Democrats To Go

I do think Debbie needs to go. But I am sick of the implication that her departure is something that HRC is supposed to facilitate, like DWS is somehow Hillary’s fault. But, the thing that really pisses me off about this article is that it’s yet another piling on the Democrats generally, and Hillary Clinton specifically while there is a shitshow happening on the Republican side the is an actual threat to our country. But, hand clap for Bill Moyers for making sure he does his bit to tear down Hillary Clinton.

Rahm Emanuel was elected by popular vote and DWS was chosen as DNC Chair by BHO.

I keep getting mail from The DNC and keep throwing it in the trash. I can’t stand the fact that it’s chairwomen is taking money from The Payday Lending Industry Lobbyists. It offends me, i am not sure I consider myself a Democrat anymore because of it.

Screw you, screw the Bernie Bros meme, and screw you again for assuming that people who support Sanders will throw the country away out of spite. Yeah, they’re just going to go ahead and let Trump win because he’s somehow better than Clinton?

If it happens, it’s BECAUSE of discussions like this. You’re not helping. And yet I bet because you’re in friendly territory you think you can just slander an enormous number of people because reasons furthermore and such as.

The Bernie Bros meme needs to die because if anything is going to cause divisiveness it’s an immature epithet thrown around by people who can’t grasp that sometimes people support a different candidate.

Maybe you missed this article or this one or this one. Answerfrog isn’t making stuff up out of thin air. So, maybe you could take the time to check your own people. Oh, and the name calling doesn’t exactly help your cause.

She can’t get rid of either of them though Moyers is right that both of them are toxic. Clinton would do well to distance herself, even if it’s too late for her to completely extricate herself.

But Emmanuel is someone the Republicans will really enjoy using against Clinton. They’ve got all the Chicago tropes ready. And if they figure out a way to use DWS (hard for them to cry corruption and cronyism), they’ll use her too.

It’s time for most of the Democratic Party to go. They’re spineless. They never had Obama’s back. They let the Republicans walk all over him to the detriment of the economy. When they had a majority and a chance to expand Medicare to people 55 and over, they failed. I blame them almost as much as the Republicans who opposed Obama for purely racist reasons. We need a viable third party with a spine.

So, there is a Democratic version of Reagan’s 11th commandment. Good to know. In the Culinary Institute’s Professional Cookbook, the procedure for making stock instructs that “scum should be removed periodically.” A better 11th commandment, I should think.

Maybe some day you’ll take that to heart.

Oh, I do take it to heart. It’s why I’m not a Democrat. Vote the candidate, stay away from the Party.

Actual liberals are not serfs to the democratic party. No one is obligated to vote. If the Dems want these peoples supports it’s on them to earn it, not arrogantly demand it.

There aren’t a few rotten apples in the Clinton camp blemishing their sterling reputation, the Clinton camp is one big bushel of rotten apples. Name me one Clinton insider who isn’t a closet neocon, bought by wall street, or corrupt?

Never could stand DWS. Rahm I have to admit I haven’t kept up on. However, I seem to remember thinking he was sort of dropping the ball in response to some police shootings of minorities, but I don’t remember specifics.

But tflick, you seem to have conveniently forgotten this:

It didn’t happen or at least not at the rate of 50% (which is, you should note, way more than 33%), and this is how things go with what people say and feel during the primaries. I agree with Saylen. Clinton voters should stop using what some Sanders voters do and say against all Sanders voters.

I mean, it’s not like Clinton supporters are all saints. Just look at the vitriol here against Sanders, as if everything he says is a lie and he’s a complete huckster who actually doesn’t have any of the integrity he’s been known for for 40 years. Bernie Sanders. Unbelievable. And you read stuff like this at TPM all the time.

Which is not to say Sanders isn’t a politician and a far more astute one than he’s given credit for. But a liar and a huckster? Come on.

Meanwhile, in other news, The Economist quite simply attributed Sanders’ washout in Ohio to Hillary Clinton’s generally accepted as unfair stretching the truth about his failure to support the auto industry bailout. Where it didn’t have enough time to sink in before Michigan voted, it did by the time they got to Ohio, so what do we call this on Clinton’s part? The moral highground?

And by the way, The Economist is hardly in the tank for Sanders and they’ve endorsed Clinton. But they just talk about politics as politics is. Impartially.

It’s a lesson a lot of people here could learn.

Moyers has been showing his pro-Bernie bias for months now, which is why I finally deleted him from my facebook.

So says one of the people often whining that Sanders isn’t a Democrat.

Are any of those BernieBros on this board? Is Saylen one of them?

Sounds a lot like a teen excusing his/her own behavior by saying “Other kids parents let them do it.”

Maybe we should ask “our kids” to be better, like keeping divisive people far away from power.

Give a rest, answerfrog. The only place that “BernieBros” - a term that apparently includes 6 out of 7 Democratic women under 30 - are going to go “full Nader” is in your head.

Sell his mother to “the Arabs”? OK, maybe “to ISIS” would be more fair to millions of people who can be classed as Arabs, a term that the dictionary calls “sometimes offensive”.
