Because Bill has the soaring rhetoric, the charisma, and wit as well.
Not that she should dignify the little troll by doing it, but Hillary would whup Turd Blossomās behind in a debate on any subject. Rove just canāt deal with the facts when they contradict āhisā facts.
Rove got the attention he wanted but it has turned on him and now makes him look a petty fool. This is the way it goes for Republicans, the country is on to them, they can not win with their shrinking minority so all they have is the vindictive meanness of a pudding head like Rove.
Am much more interested in knowing what Bill Clintonās message was at this Peter G. Peterson Foundation function.
Yep. He drops his turds and the media promptly picks it up and runs with it.
I wish Bill would give a class in politicking.
To Obama.
Obama doesnāt need a class in politicking. Heās given great zingers on his own. Probably will do so more after he leaves office. Like Bill.
āI gotta give him credit. That embodies the old saying that consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds,ā Clinton said. āFirst they said she faked her concussion, now they say sheās auditioning for a part on āThe Walking Dead.ā Whatever it takes.ā
Sliced, diced, and pureed.
Fox feasts on his Blossom- droppings.
āOrange is the new blackā, the president about the Boner. Or āWe [boner] have something in common. Weāre both people of color only his color doesnāt occur in nature.ā Great zingers albeit not ad libbed.
Are you forgetting the Presidentās Ninja Moment?
Please proceed, Governorā¦
That was off the top of his head, and had devastating effect. I donāt think you need to worry about Barack Obamaās āpolitickingā.
Not to be a party pooper, because Clinton took care of business, but his use of the idiom is backwards. There was no consistency in Roveās slams, quite the opposite, and the idiom makes fun of people who foolishly insist on a strict consistency where it is not called for.
like I replied above, Clinton used the idiom backwards. There was no consistency in Roveās slams, quite the opposite, and the idiom makes fun of people who foolishly insist on a strict consistency where it is not called for.
One small problemā¦
Bill has the quotation wrong and so is using it incorrectly. The actual quote is from Emerson and itās:
āA foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines.ā
Meaning that small minded people look for consistency where it doesnāt really exist. Bill is dissing Rove et al for being inconsistent.
Agreed. Obama plays the long game for the most partā¦ but when he hits he hits hardā¦ anyone recall the stupefied look on Eric Cantorās face after this one?
āWe could set up a system where food was cheaper than it is right nowā¦ if we just eliminated meat inspectors.ā
Definitelyā¦ its hard to match some of Obamaās gems, but Bill had more than a few equally impressive ones.
You are not a party pooper. Youāre just a brainiac and canāt help yourself (LOL)
I agree. I like the way my President plays the game and he is a far better person than Bill Clinton anyway. I like the Big Dog but I remember Glass Steagall and Welfare Reform and some other beauts
Well said LGB. Well said.
I think the emphasis was on ālittle mindsā instead of āconsistency.ā The idea was to humiliate and diss the Rovian, and it was highly effective.
