Discussion: Bill Clinton 'Felt Bad' For GOP Leader Who Spoke Benghazi Committee 'Truth'

My DH went to see him the other day in NJ and said Bill was still as good as ever. May not be in his top form now, but he is still one of a kind in the way he engages his audience and makes complex issues accessible to them. Nobody else can do it the way he does.

It’s only when he gets unhinged about his wife that I cringe and wish he would hibernate until the general campaign (I expect he’ll be really good vs the GOP).

Where is Kevin McCarthy today. Where is the man who would have been king? What penalties did he face for that little speech of his?

Thanks to Pres. Clinton for showing some sensitivity to the man who opened a gaping hole in the rusting armor of the Republican Party.

I read that he was instrumental in crushing the bill that would protect LGBT rights this week.
This week he was a spear carrier for the arch foes of civil liberties. He was instrumental in crushing the bill that would have protected LGBT rights, right there on the floor of Congress.

        From NBC: http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/fight-gets-ugly-house-floor-over-lgbt-rights-n577021
"The amendment — sponsored by Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney, D-New York, —

would have prevented federal contractors from receiving government work
if they discriminate against members of the LGBT community.
“It was a chaotic scene on the House floor Thursday morning after an
amendment to help protect LGBT people from discrimination failed by just
one vote as Republicans succeeded in convincing a few members of their
own party to switch their votes to help ensure the measure would not
pass . . . . . . Kevin McCarthy was personally twisting arms on
the floor,” Maloney, who is openly gay, said about the House majority
leader. He went on to say, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything that
craven and that ugly in my time in Congress.”"

Thanks again Pres. Clinton.

Well, its been difficult playing the the Nazi card. I came up in a time when we learned that the rise of the Nazi movement was propelled by use of the ‘Great Lie’. Tell a lie often enough and people will begin to believe it as the truth. And that is what they did.

fo the past 25 - 30 years, we were called ‘Bleeding Heart Liberals’, ‘Tax and Spend Liberals’, Feminists were called Feminazi’s. Government is no the solution it’s the probem.,

“Explainer in Chief” Bill Clinton has a way of saying things, which is just awesome…
