Biden opened his remarks Wednesday by saying that the Affordable Care Act had achieved its goal: “For Americans to finally, finally, finally be able to lie there and know that if, God forbid, something happens, as it’s happened to an awful lot of us, that I’m not going to lose my house, I’m not going to lose everything, I’m not going to leave my family in distress.”
The juxtaposition of Republicans trying to ram through their shitty legislation, with the intent to screw over the poor and the elderly, especially in rural counties that predominantly voted for Trump, and shift the tax benefits to the ultra-wealthy with what Trump is even ashamed to call Trumpcare, and the 7th Anniversary of the ACA (even with its shortcomings, mainly brought about by Republicans over the years, if we’re really going to be honest), couldn’t be more stark.**
**That might be the longest sentence I’ve written to date. I need a personal editor like some people I guess need a personal shopper.
It isn’t going to be too hard as long as we have someone running against him. Last time he didn’t draw an opponent or he would be gone now. So would mine = Hensarling.

I love this guy. He cuts right to the chase.
Although I can never forget his role in the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings, I’m pretty sure I’ll forgive him before it’s all said and done, though I’m not sure Anita Hill would feel the same.
He’s about 13/16 of the way there so far (only because it was a major screwup on his part)…
Pains me just to look at Joe, who of course would be president if he had run … . Just saying’. And, yeah, he’s had his very bad moments, but in terms of the right candidate last year, he obviously would have been better.
