DeVos’s goal was never to improve all schools. It was to find a new way of allowing school segregation. So of course she doesn’t know - or care - whether all schools in Michigan have gotten better.

This is Exhibit A for why voting is important. We have an unqualified, unprepared and uninterested POTUS who hired a bunch of unqualified, unprepared and misinformed ideologues. DeVos is the fkn Secretary of Education and hasn’t bothered to use her departments resources to see how her own state’s education system is performing. She is so entrenched in the ideas of school choice that she won’t even look at nationwide data. Whether that is out of arrogance, fear or stupidity, it is hurting our nation’s future.
I guess since these folks didn’t prepare for their Senate hearings, they feel like they don’t have to prepare for ANY interviews. If they don’t go well, they cry fake news, or ambush and move on.

Ben Carson defending discrimination in housing. Pence defending extramarital sex with a porn star. Trump defending the grabbing of the genitalia of the females who he finds attractive - perhaps anyone other than Melania.
I must have left out some other ideas that this bunch is committed to defending.
