The reason heās stepping away from prosecution is because that, as well as most of what he screeched about on the campaign trail, was hype. He said it to get a reaction. Whether he actually follows through on any of it is optional.
Heās backing off now so he can soften up the media, and sure enough, I can see them melting in his hands right now. Sickening. As if they donāt know what a con man he is.
I understand that there are a lot of people who voted for Trump for reasons other than believing that his bigoted douchebaggery wasnāt a bug, but a feature. But itās going to be nice to see those people find out that theyāve been played like a fucking fiddle over the course of the next few months.
You are correct. It was just a stupid chant used to incite anger and revenge feelings within a mob of thugs. Thatās what got him off - everyone cheering and chanting.
Trump would often admit in interviews that he used the āBuild the wallā mantra because it got people so hyped up. Not because he ever intended to build a wall.
Chanting āLock her upā and its more grisly variations were a way of his thugs letting off steam.

Iāve been watching some of the TV talk tonight and the media (CNN and MSNBC) keeps talking about how heās decided not to pursue Hillary is breaking a promise as if thatās a bad thing, almost like theyāre disappointed.
I would venture to guess that if she decided to pursue an audit of those states called into question for hacker interference, his prosecution decision would quickly be reversedā¦ again.

So now, with feigned magnanimity, Trump is playing the nice guy by not prosecuting her (as if a President has such authority) for things that never happened. Perhaps thatās a good example for a word like āTrumpishā or āTrumpyā: forgiving a person you falsely accused, and then expecting to be praised for feeling generous.
