Discussion: Bennet Says He Has Prostate Cancer, Will Still Run For Prez If Surgery Goes Well

And he was very moving. I wish him well, and if he wants to run for president, so be it.

@jeffrey There are no rules with cancer. The only person I know to have died of prostate cancer was a friend’s father, and he was well into his 70s when it was discovered.

Correct there aren’t any rules for cancer. I was Stage 4 melanoma and should have died 14 years ago. However, early onset prostate cancer is usually more virulent than what is so common in men 70+, which is typically very slow developing. That being said, my father was diagnosed and died two years later of PC at age 72 after exhausting every conventional and experimental treatment available in the aughts.

And you can’t smoke in restaurants or even the private back rooms of restaurants where these deals used to be cut and more recently sanctimonious NCAA basketball coaches fornicate with married women, because who wants to eat or get drunk in an establishment where it reeks of cigar smoke?

You know, I think I’ll run for POTUS too. I mean, at this point, why the fuck not? Why should I be the only one left out?

And, if all goes well, he’ll name the surgeon as his running mate … that’ll set him apart from the 612 other candidates trying to throw the election to Trump.

This is where the thoughts and prayers kick in to get the job done.
