I’d disagree he’s consistent, unless you mean that every time a journalist has come sniffing he’s made a ham-fisted attempt to appear like he’s not fundraising off of Benghazi. As well, in the age of unlimited dark money it means little that a donor would have their funding returned, when they can just turn around and place an ad buy or perform special interest polling that’s all but directly supporting the Congresscritter.
