Discussion for article #235264

Ok, so if you are announcing that you are going to announce something, aren’t you already announcing it?

Yay, Keep 'em coming!

We need him just in case one one of the other idiots forgets to articulate a stupid right wing thought.

Cover all the bases.

Yes, this makes me so freakin’ happy. I feel like those poor sweat workers from the movie, The Wiz. “Can you feel a brand new day”, indeed!

This guy must require PAIN to learn something. Last time around was a flame out. This one will be no different except that he may garner fewer donors with smaller pockets.
And how exactly does being a neurosurgeon give one the skill set needed to be President? I don’t think Dr Carson has ever held an elective office. It would be instructive to him in that then he’d see if it is something he’d really want to do. I don’t know why but I feel I should be generous and tolerant of this guy. Maybe it’s just I want him around for the entertainment value. Somebody to point and laugh at.

It’s always about thinking dems are going to trash him because he’s black. No, it’s the hateful and/or uncaring policies for those who haven’t managed their bootstraps sufficiently.

Republicans have tried to pretend otherwise, but the n-word is the underlying smear.

I have no doubt he’s trying to appeal to good African-Americans everywhere.

The good ones voted for Obama, silly man.

And at Comedy Central, the sound of great rejoicing was heard.

Oh, goody!! The more, the merrier. I hope he sucks (up to the) Kochs and the likes of Sheldon Adelson.

Haha, I had forgotten he hadn’t announced already.

I wouldn’t trash him for his race. For me it’s not a reason to disqualify a candidate. I would trash him for extreme views. That he doesn’t have much in the way of political experience is a detriment. Actually getting elected to something would be helpful experience I would think. Most every serious candidate comes from a political background and elective office experience before they try to be President. I don’t mean to denigrate a medical degree and experience as a surgeon but how is that a workable skill set for the highest elective office we have?

Did he just come right out and say he was announcing in May? Or did he announce that he was going to give a press conference today where he would detail his plans for future announcements?

I’m not saying dems would. I’m saying republicans will claim that’s why he’s being criticized.

Sorry for not being clear.

Well, having undergone far more procedures than I care to remember–some of them cervical/skull reconstruction (related to what this man does but far more specialized)–I can tell you without a doubt that most surgeons have a “god complex.” Carson exhibits his very well. Now, does that really have anything to do with being Commander-in-Chief? – Hello, no, but his complex bars him from actually knowing that … or admitting it if he ever were to realize that truth.

Does anybody know when his book is being released? – That is what this whole parade is about, right?
