Trump is the monster of the Republican Party’s creation. And now Dr. Frankenstein is pondering how to politically kill him off.
To put the situation in better perspective, the GOP is damned if they do and damned if they don’t.
Can’t wait for the Convention in Ohio. 25K have signed petition to allow guns .

An organized attempt to block frontrunner Donald Trump from securing the Republican presidential nomination at the convention would mean “absolute destruction” for the party
Since they “fixed” the commenting system, I have to say…sometimes I get a notice that someone has “liked” one of my comments, but I’m not getting the “response” notices from posters. If I come back to a thread, I’m lucky if I happen to catch the response, as I did with yours.
Anyone else having this problem?
Also, I tend to get logged out a lot lately and not by my own doing…but I figured out refreshing the page often gets me logged back in without having to do anything more than that.
Hmmmmmm. Not having problems you describe, srfromgr. I did not realize the ‘refresh’ bit.
See, here is the thing.
Carson hasn’t a clue about political maneuverings or even how the nomination process actually works. The man is a completely neophyte in the world of politics. He ran one campaign that was a complete and utter failure…both internally and externally.
So asking him his opinion and analysis on the situation is a complete and utter waste of time.
His analysis comes from watching Fox, and little else. So this is literally talking to their own reflection.
Trump and his supporters are the “monsters” of the Republicans’ creation.
Dear Baby Jesus,
Please let there be shenanigans-galore at this year’s GOP convention.
Amen
Have they cloned Elisabeth Hasselbeck already? That lab they have at Fox does amazing work.
IMO the perfect scenario is box Trump out at the convention, give it to Cruz and watch the fireworks. It would be a win-win for Democrats. Trump will stalk Cruz and cause no end of trouble for the GOP while Cruz will lose the election AND prove being a “true conservative” will not win you elections. Take them all down with one nomination. Let the GOP pick up the pieces for a couple decades and hope they are a functional political party at the end of that.
He’s always my go-to political expert. Also Egypt expert.
I’m trying to figure out who has the higher IQ … the idiot calling in or the three brilliant minds sitting on the couch (I’ll lumo their IQs together). I’d give the slight edge to the three stooges, but even then the number wouldn’t reach double digits.
Watching the GOP try to navigate between Scylla and Charybdis is going to be more entertaining than any sports matchup that I can think of.
I’d order more popcorn but I’m trying to cut back after experiencing a few popcorn hangovers. Combining a popcorn binge with watching the GOP crash and burn might be too much for me.
I’m afraid I might become addicted and OD on the popcorn.
Does anybody know of a rehab program for popcorn addicts?
The Rump campaign’s galling entitlement is becoming exponentially more off-putting as the campaign drags on. There is no evidence of anything afoot except tryng to make sure that The Rump doesn’t win a majority of delegates, but the possibility of not winning is being spoken of as shenanigans by definition.
Too much fertilizer. Not enough weed barrier. The astro turfers are getting concerned.
WTF??? When did clueless Ben get promoted from idiot savant to political pundit?
YES! This is my heartfelt wish. If Trump is elbowed out of the prize he thinks he deserves, there will be no end to the Twitter wars and talk show call-ins he’ll make. He will join the Democrats in bashing Cruz through November. The R party will complete its descent onto chaos, and as Democrats pick up Congressional seats, perhaps things will start edging toward normal. Possibly a few sane Republicans will quit their party in disgust and become Democrats.
After the general election, Trump will start a new reality show and Cruz will crawl back into the sewer.
Open Carry! Open Carry! Open Carry!!!
If there was such a thing as a Republican party, Donald Trump would not be the apparent nominee. Dr. Carson—always late to figure things out.
