How is this different from calling in a fake bomb threat?
The FBI should be on this.
I’d be surprised if they are not.
Great reporting, Ms. Riga. Thanks.
Qdiots are the People’s Temple of Branch Dividians.
Question the Quislings quietly and quell Q quickly.
That photo is a portrait of smug fascism.
There should be legislations allowing people to sue for the loss caused by the cancellation of these events.
Do real master criminals always include a trail of secret clues as an integral part of their plots, so that some brilliant detective can stop them just in the nick of time?
Call the Q-Tip Line.
Wonder how much the Russians work the Q crowd. I would be amazed if it doesn’t link back to them.
The problem is, who do you actually sue in this case??
The terrorists (whoever they might be) won without ever firing a shot. Just a crazy rumor spread by gullible conspiracy theorists. Are we entering a new phase of online terror?
I’ve been watching old Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes lately. I always think of the character “Q” from the show every time I see something about QAnon…
The worst part is they still think they averted a massacre here. They are only emboldened by the fear they spread and people taking defensive action. They are truly sick people. I understand completely why the school cancelled, but it would be better if they hadn’t.
How about the original poster…
They do on television shows. Somebody went a little too far with their Clue tournament in wingnuttia. Actually, Comey’s tweets do have a secret message. Translated, it is: “congratulations, wingnut idiots, you have found the secret message.” (You reverse his tweets and apply the codes you found on your secret Masonic Temple decoder ring. This actually tells us that Comey is a Pink Floyd fan.)
Prior to the 2016 election we would have dismissed the idea. Now we know it is not just possible, but maybe likely. Those with conspiracy mentalities are all linked up via social media and thereby reachable and easily manipulated by the same foreign entities that supported Trump.
To the people suggesting lawsuits, the problem is intent. Some of these idiots may be trolls just looking to sow chaos, but most are true believers who really think they’re doing the right thing. Don’t know how you sue someone for being stupid/batshit nuts who genuinely believe they’re averting a tragedy. This is not a defense of them on moral or practical grounds, but legally I’m not sure what can be done. The best response is to ignore them and defiantly go on with what you’re doing when this crazy shit starts snowballing.
