Ya, Begich is essentially a monster for being in this race at all. He stepped in at the last minute, not bothering to bring it up his intentions during the state’s Democratic convention weeks prior. Walker has been a decent governor during really dire financial times and would be so much better than the Republican…the Republican the state will now elect because Begich couldn’t figure out how to find a real job after his Senate loss. He’s willing to screw over his state for a few months of perceived gainfulness.
