Discussion: Baylor Removes Ken Starr As President Amid Sexual Assault Scandal

As Rush Limbaugh has explained: This was a payback witch hunt by the Clintons, and Starr said nice things about Bill recently only because he was intimidated by them. Starr shouldn’t be blamed for that though because the whole thing was the fault of black – did you catch that: black black BLACK! — thugthletes. (Luckily Limbaugh never plays the race card.)

I wish I had made this up, but it actually is entirely true, as documented by our great local columnist in Atlanta Jay Bookman: http://jaybookman.blog.myajc.com/2016/05/25/racism-still-has-a-place-in-america-and-a-market/

My life would be complete, however, if some Texan somewhere tied the Clinton conspiracy against Starr to Jade Helm. Hell, I’d even settle for @theghostofeustacetilley just faking it.

This is just plain bullshit. The female students and faculty should mount continuous protests until Kenneth Starr is removed from any position in, or association with, Baylor University.

Don’t worry, our nation’s top religious leaders will be quick to condemn this kind of thing and deny the sacraments to people who spout this kind of thing.

Oh, wait, sorry. The topic isn’t homosexuals, fetuses and the Pill, so that won’t happen.

As do the nation’s universities at this point. Remember Penn State?

There goes my comment.

That’s what I get for coming in late.

Fired as president, hired as chancellor.
Really serious about changing the culture there, eh, Baylor?

Next we’ll find out that Art Briles is transitioning into the role of president.

Hey Ken - Who’s wearing the blue dress now?

How can anyone blame the Clintons for this?

It is clearly Obama’s fault…

Has anyone in the long Clinton witch-hunts escaped ignominy?

(deep whispered voice) “The password is…schadenfreude.

or, if you prefer:

“I guess the foot’s on the other hand now, isn’t it, Kramer?”

The investigation found that the university’s process for responding to and supporting those who made the claims of sexual assault was inadequate and that university officials “discouraged some complainants from reporting or participating in student conduct processes and in one instance constituted retaliation against a complainant for reporting sexual assault,” according to the board of regents.

I venture that paragraph is applicable to about 95% of the colleges and universities in the nation.

Yes, Karma is a beautiful thing!

Baylor University’s board of regents announced Thursday that Ken Starr would be removed as president and transition to the role of chancellor at the Texas university.

If he’s going to transition, he’d better make sure he’s using the correct restroom.

Sure, but it’s not like college football is a big deal in Texas.

Or will he transition into head of the cheerleaders?

And Hell just froze over. Ken Starr recently speaking at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia had the following to say:

“President Clinton was and perhaps still is the most gifted politician of the baby boomer generation. He just has remarkable gifts. Leave aside the unpleasantness, his genuine empathy for human beings is absolutely clear….It is powerful. It is palpable. And the folks of Arkansas really understood that about him, that he genuinely cared. The ‘I feel your pain’ is absolutely genuine.”

What seems to lost in all of the reporting is that the Chancellor outranks the President. The President reports to and is responsible to the Chancellor. This isn’t a reprimand–it’s a promotion; “falling upward” as someone put it.

From Sept. 2004-August 2008,my son and about $100K(didn’t keep exact count because I didn’t really wanna know  ) went to Baylor. Never understood how Starr got the job. Briles’ hiring was a no-brainer. Baylor has had good sports teams in the past but academics have always come first.
