Cowards, fools or underage model/cocaine party attendees?
Good dog. Let him sue. You get discovery. You get to depose.
What the F is wrong with these cowards?
Looks like the ABA left its backbone some way back. Another bunch of frightened fools: not surprised!!!
Call me crazy, but I think that the US BAR Assoc might have the legal resources necessary to oppose one of tRump’s frivolous libel/defamation lawsuits. Cowards!
At the risk of being sued by the ABA, they are gutless wimps.
Another reason I’m glad I’m not an ABA member.
Why is the ABA corrupt?
Oh, the irony.
C’mon babies…you can do it. Let the Libel Bully know he is screwing with FIRE!
Libel Bully , yeah, Libido Bully, yeah,
Now that the ABA knows there is a lot to gain from Rump’s unscrupulous business practices in the process of discovery and his treatment of his employees, there’s no reason to continue this timid approach. It is dismaying that the ABA has been so cowered into taking on this asshole however, but not surprising. He’s had everyone fooled. Most of his suits result in undisclosed settlements where he ends up paying to make it all go away, so they are usually not in his favor it seems. Maybe the ABA will finally grow a backbone.
The American population, until relatively recently, was unaware of the dangerous person in their midst. Had the general population been aware of Trump’s shortcomings, there never would have been a Trump campaign. The cowardice of the Bar Association–as well as a number of other institutions and organizations–has cost this nation deeply.
- Communities of minorities have been traumatized.
- Precious time, which we need to focus on pressing issues, was set aside to indulge Trump.
- Friendships across the country have been shattered, not to mention familial relationships.
- Race relations have taken a serious setback.
- Those who have been emboldened by Trump will not all go away
- Our international image has been damaged.
- The Fourth Estate has been harmed
The good news is that all of the above can be worked on and improved. I am of the opinion that the Planet will require us to work on them and improve on them. What we have to do–as Americans and as Earthlings–to save it will require exactly (and MORE of) the things above.
What’s more, the lawyers at the ABA know as well as anyone that the chances of someone like tRump (i.e., a public person) prevailing in a libel/defamation case are almost nil. If a suit even progressed to the point of being in court, a smart judge would toss the suit on summary judgement because tRump would have no chance of prevailing on the merits.
No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.
Sad!
I’ll remind people that the majority of trump’s scandals have only come to light in the process of his running for President…so there will probably be renewed interest when all this is over to take him on in earnest in a legal sense for his self-dealing ways, his short-changing of others of adequate renumeration and his inappropriate, disgraceful ways of defaming famous as well as less-known and powerless people out of pure spite.
Also, keep in mind that while he has far from self-funded his campaign, he’s still spent $100 million on it. Given his actual wealth, that’s likely to cause him some serious cash flow problems for a while. He’s not able to spend as much on litigation as he used to.
Man, I’m telling you, they’re going to have to rent out every indoor stadium in America just to house the nominees for Profile in Courage Awards this year.
Meanwhile, one more reason I’m glad I finally gave up on maintaining ABA membership.
Yes? Maybe? The ABA comes off looking like a one-legged person tripping over his own foot.

Yeah, that’s just nuts. It’s not like the Bar Assoc knows of any good lawyers. Maybe they could ask a friend.
