I would say that once the WH gives the go ahead to the Nunes Memo release (which is ONLY being held back pending the SOTU so as not to distract from the Hosannas about how Donald Trump was so presidential and did not emit loud flatulence during the entire duration of the address) the Democrats should go ahead and release their rebuttal. The classified information will have been released by the GOP-Trump-Nunes. Also, the important thing about the Nunes Memo is that it is part of Trump’s short term strategy to fire everyone who was involved in the Russia Treason investigation, get rid of Rosenstein and replace him with someone who will stifle the investigation while supervising it.

Agreed again, but your previous question might have some bearing on this prediction. We’re all assuming and counting on our democracy surviving intact until this fall. Those who are falling on their swords might be counting on the end occurring before the next election to save them. Dark thought, i know, but these are dark times in this country. Very dark.
We don’t lack the moments. What we lack is a “sir” who even thinks that decency is a good thing.
We still have the November vote. There will be a flood of money paying for disinformation campaigns, so we have to work all the harder.

I’d point to the hypothesis that some of them are just as much corrupt and on the take as DT. That their interests are tied up with his. Potential legal consequences are a very strong motivation for self preservation.

Obviously a significant portion of Trump’s loyal following are demonstrating that they are indeed, “deplorables.” Thus his own followers validate Hillary’s comments.
This is of a piece with organized efforts at stochastic violence by the Republicans, which include the NRA’s commercials that portray liberal protesters as lawless, violent, and a threat to civil society (looking at you, Dana Loesch), and emails – I get a bunch of them – from conservative groups that scare monger about the anti- fascists and portray them as a powerful, widespead organized group with deep ties to Democrats
