Gee, in Ohio you can hold the balls of your wrestling team students too long, but by God don’t touch a stripper when you’re stuffing your dollars in their g-stings or let them touch you unless you’re an immediate family member.
Well, Ok then.
Why would Stormy be arrested when it is the patrons who are doing the touching? I’m clearly not understanding the law…
Wow. That is some messed up shit.
Government over reach? Or jack booted thugs? Saudi morality police?
“While Daniels was performing Wednesday night at Sirens, a strip club in Columbus, some patrons touched her in a “non-sexual” way,”
Trump also touched Daniels in a non-sexual way. The problem is, he thought it was sexual.
Its an absurd law to fight prostitution by punishing the woman. Ohio has many of these anachronistic laws on the books that they can pull out when they need to take pressure off of State leaders.
Gee, in Ohio you can hold the balls of your wrestling team students too long…
For medicinal purposes only.
I think you’re understanding the law perfectly. Punishing a woman for the act of a man.
She’s pleading not guilty, apparently, but here’s what the police say she did:
Police officers at the club said that while dancing topless, Ms. Clifford pressed patrons’ faces into her chest and fondled the breasts of some women in the audience, according to an affidavit filed by the police. She performed similar acts on three officers, and grabbed one by the buttocks, the affidavit said.
And here’s the relevant portion of the applicable statute:
So…you can only get kinky with an immediate family member at the strip club. I see…
Quick work, there, Miguel.
Interesting statute. Wonder if there’s one (or a different section of same) forbidding touching going the other way… Or do they consider touching of the performer initiated by the patron to be the same?
Also, perhaps most interesting is that it appears they posted three cops at the strip club? Really?
Oh my God, here we go. Same thing every woman he’s ever been around has said.
@pwmesq 3 cops were for her own safety. Really.
@cervantes: two problems with that statute. It says “regularly” appears - how often does that mean she has to appear before she’s a regular? And “employee”? My, ahem, understanding is that traveling shows appearing at local clubs are contractors or some such, not employees. Ohio’s gonna have something on its face, and it ain’t Stormy’s silicon.
Ladies and gentlemen, shut down the intertubes for today. We have a winner!
Anyone read if there’s video? I’m wondering because of the entrapment angle. I always thought in sting operations that the cops had lines they could not cross.
Added:
A spokesman for the Franklin County Sheriff’s office could find no instances in which the 2007 law had been used, he told the Dispatch.
If I were booking odds, I’d bet about 1:4 corrupt police enhancing their revenue with the strip_joint equivalent of a speed trap, 3:8 Stormy Daniels seeking publicity for her “Make America Horny Again” tour, and 3:8 flagrant abuse of prosecutorial discretion that personifies The Rump and proves how quickly the fish rots from the head down.
yes indeed, if you want to get kinky with a stranger you need to be an athletic supporter.

Unless this was a blatant (and ill-advised) publicity ploy by Stormy, I have a hard time believing she was handling uniformed cops, and grabbing one in the ass. Where’s the video?
Columbus is a boring boosterish place trying to promote itself as progressive and lively (they have ads in other cities to this effect). Obviously, it isn’t.
