@paul_lukasiak, agreed. Mueller runs a tight ship and not much, if anything, gets leaked without his say so.

Avenatti plays by different rules and any muck he finds is probably gravy to Mueller. Consider this, Avenatti and Stormy Daniels have successfully tied Trump to Russia via Cohen. THEY kicked up the dirt on Cohen, got his office raided etc. Might that have happened with out MA and Daniels? I am not sure how it would have played out but we owe them a debt if they are helping Mueller.

IANAL, so maybe someone with some legal training her can explain: how do you get out of an NDA? In Daniel’s situation, AFAIK, the issue is whether or not between all the aliases and backchannels used to pay her off, Trump was really a party to the agreement. That may or may not be the case with other women, however.

I dunno. I think all the adultery, fornicating, and abortion-providing in Trump’s past was pretty much already baked in the cake for his supporters. It’s the anti-choice judges he promised to appoint that they went for, and he’s definitely holding up his end of the bargain, much to the delight of the religious right. I mean, they don’t give a shit that he’s taking live children away from their parents and putting them in detention centers, purely in order to psychologically torture their parents and get them to sign deportation waivers. What’s a little abortion or two 20 years ago?

Its ironic that offenses as mundane as sybaritic sex may bring him down. Avenatti is smart and aggressive, but he’s not the high-powered constitutional prosecutor, whom you’d expect to lead the charge.

I hear ya….and you’re probably right. But I think when the pregnancy happened, might be key. If it was way in his past, yeah….probably won’t make a diff. But if it was more recent, then it might be just the excuse that some need to break with him altogether.

A few of these women are relations of mine (ugh) and they convinced themselves of all manner of cray-cray to justify voting for this asshole. But they are pretty quiet these days, and not doing much defending of him. And, FWIW, the children separated from their parents has been an issue for them too. A lot of Repub women made it known they were very much against it. Throw in proof of multiple affairs and an aborted pregnancy, and they have even more of an excuse to turn away from him. This isn’t just my opinion, I think the polling shows it too.
