At First Debate, O’Rourke Accuses Cruz Of Misrepresenting His Views
Oh Brother, when you complain about being misinterpreted you’re already losing.
Attack! Tell Texans that Trump insulted, Cruz father, Cruz wife, and Cruz himself. And what did Cruz do? Challenge him to a duel? Off course not, Cruz is now begging Trump for his endorsement. “Not exactly Andrew Jackson. Texas do not vote for the coward”. That will make some people uncomfortable about voting for Cruz, the same way a lot of women could not bear themselves about voting for Hilary, because she allowed herself be humiliated by Bill Clinton and did nothing.
Do not try to make Cruz voters vote for O’Rourke, make them stay home on election day.
Cruz managed to compare him to socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont.
I’ll be genuinely interested to see if that is an effective attack in Texas.

Of all the weenie, pathetic, just weak ass things Cruz has done, just letting those insults go is the worst of all. He basically called his wife ugly and he did call his father a murderer and Cruz’s response has been to kiss his ass at every opportunity. Someone who is willing to grovel at the feet of someone who has been so abusive to his loved ones is not someone who is going to fight for his constituents. I really hope Beto finds a way to point to this. He won’t stand up for his own wife and father.
The game conservatives love to play, and routinely get away with, is to claim any liberal impulse makes them “socialist” or “communist” while calling the opposite – a conservative impulse might be fascist – a blood libel.
Cruz’ ability to get away with this garbage goes along with an ability to lie about history, as claiming Democrats were against Civil Rights in the state of LBJ. It’s a racist trump, misrepresenting the past to excuse the future.
Cruz isn’t a good debater. He cheats. And Texas lets him. Because too many share his racism and misogyny. That’s the real issue here, as it is everywhere, because that racism and misogyny is what’s in power.
People (Republicans) who wrap themselves in the flag and start every debate statement with why do you hate America are scoundrels of the worst order, but people like Ted Cruz and Trump make it seem like a pornographic act. Ted Cruz has the singular distinction of having earned the adjective loathsome for his entire life - beyond despicable, beyond venal - simply loathsome.
If you watched the debate, it wasn’t as described in this article. Beto clearly won and Cruz came off as his “true to form” oleaginous self.
He’s probably a lot like Chiselin’ Trump, in this regard.
Beto nailed Cruz at the end of the debate. Cruz couldn’t find anything nice to say about Beto and Beto responded with “true to form”.
Cruz is so extremely partisan that he can’t help but constantly try to divide people and smear groups he doesn’t agree with. He tries to be slick, but comes across as disingenuous with his fake patriotism, fake christianity and fake concern for others.

That’s exactly what I’ve heard from everyone who watched it It was a human being - Beto, vs the sack of rancid oil disguised roughly as a person - Cruz.

Last night during the debate Cruz blamed mass school shootings on lack of prayers in our schools and general moral decay. I wished Beto would’ve asked him what he blames the church shooting in Sutherland Springs on.
It was the first debate. Beto will likely do better in the next two.
