So the RNC plan seems to be to spend a year arguing that Clinton is totally opposed to Obama, and then spend the following year arguing that Clinton and Obama are exactly the same. Or wait, Clinton is so opposed to Obama that she’s going to embrace him because she wasn’t able to distance herself enough because they are simultaneously in agreement and opposed to each other. That will definitely work…

Yep, it’s very much like their claim that Obama is a weak, feckless, bumbling fool who couldn’t lead his way out of a paper bag, and yet he’s also a dictatorial, mustache-twirling, tyrant who has the nation squirming under his iron fist. I suspect this line of attack will work as well on HRC as it has on President Obama.
