Discussion: As First Act, New HHS Secretary Imposes More Medicaid Work Requirements

And oddly enough, the poorer and sicker you are, the more likely you are to miss arbitrary deadlines and the harder it is for you complete all the paperwork and appointments required to prove to a “skeptic” how sick you are.

If there is a hell, these folks will burn in it.

Did I miss something? Isn’t it true that a large proportion of Medicaid recipients CANNOT work, or already HAVE a job that doesn’t pay enough or provide health benefits?!

now if there were just jobs to be had, eh Carrier? You know, the kind with health insurance.

some serious Hoosier freedom going on, wonder how long it’ll take other red states to free their poor of the odious burden of affordable health care.

The green light for the state — home to Vice President Mike Pence

So Pence’s home state will be a guinea pig for the Hapless HIP plan. That oughta make him even more hated in his own state.

The same people who claim that regulations on business are arbitrary and capricious want to enforce arbitrary and capricious regulations on people needing medical care.

Look for Indiana’s death rate to increase. But as Dickens observed this will “reduce the surplus population.”

Yet one more reason for universal health care. This will take an army of state workers to do all the checking. People will make stuff up. Notes will be demanded and forged. State payroll costs will go up instead of health care being provided. Ultimately the whole multilevel multiprogram welfare/SNAP/housing projects/Section 8 crap should just be replaced with a minimum income. Somehow Alaskans get directly paid yearly for oil production and they are still the icons of rugged individualism. The rest of us live here and get nothing.
