FUCK YEAH!
Shots fired!
Good for him. Make up, shirt and tie do not a journalist make. Just because MSNBC gave him a time slot and TV program does not make Scarborough anything more than a washed up politician. That holds true for many with FaceTime TV.
What they say about those who can do and those who can’t teach, well that holds especially true for those on Fox, Limbaugh and even the token conservatives on MSNBC. Then there are those MD’s who go into politics, do you think if they were successful in medicine they would resort to selling themselves in politics?
I pay more attention to the journalists who are drawn to the sound of gunfire than Starbuck sipping talking heads sitting safe and secure in New York.
TPM stop sipping so much Starbucks and start doing real reporting. Writing about Joe Scar’s mouth flapping isn’t real reporting.
He should have brought up Morning Joke’s “problem” involving Lori Klausutis!
It is good to see that actual journalism is not completley dead. Scarborough is pathetic. I hope this entire episode wakes up the public and they turn out at the polls this November and put a stake through the heart of the smug Punditocracy. Republicans who laud and stroke Cliven Bundy as a patriot but are silent–or worse when communities of color are attacked by the very people who are supposed to be protecting them need to be shown the door.
Wack! Jughead got hit upside the head!
Wow, that is an awesome response. And so very true. It’s easy for Scarborough and his ilk to sit in a studio and pontificate smugly, its a little different when you’re experiencing it first hand.
I guess Scarborough, even living in DC for so long, forgot that you don’t take on the hometown paper.
The weather channel gets higher ratings during the same time period as Morning Junk.
It also beats Chuck Todd’s show.
Agree with you except for the dig at teachers. It is very hard to be a good teacher. Some of the worst teachers I ever had were the doers who thought because they could “do,” they could teach. They were horrible teachers.
Anchor down! We have an anchor down!
Send backup-- Mika! Are you there?!

Teachers and teaching is a great calling and good teachers are usually the ones who are targeted the most because teaching is more important to them than being easy. My husband has been in education for over 50 years and there have been all kinds through the years. There are exceptions to all of the memes that show up.
I am basing my “dig” at the “teachers” we had in nursing school, several I had worked with in the clinical area before they attempted to be teachers. Many of those in nursing couldn’t do the clinical so became faculty.
Scarborough
Hannity
Listening to either is akin to scuba diving in a septic tank…
White male member of the white supremacist movement known as the conservative movement will do anything to downplay the police brutality epidemic, which largely benefits the conservative movement.
My guess is that Scar now loses his temper, says more stupid shit, and eventually has to issue grudging non-apology-apology. What an asshole he is.
I’m always amused when someone who has dedicated their entire professional life to getting (and staying) in front of a camera derides someone else for wanting to “get on TV.”
That is exactly what Joe Scarborough should do…
He sits high up in the ivory towers and speaking down at a situation he apparently does not understand. Rather than chastise the spineless leaders in Ferguson City for not coming forth to offer the community calm, Joe prefer the situation to muster up continuous havoc.
That was pretty much a full broadsides, Cap’n.
That would require too much proximity to actual black folk . . . . . that are not wearing suits and writing for news papers. Joe would shit the bed if he really had to be there. But of course, he’s basically a cracker from northwest FL and the Ferguson response fits right in line with his world view.
