Apparently Sheriff Joe hasn’t been paying attention.
If I said I could stand in the middle of Scottsdale Road and shoot random people I expect I’d get a reaction form the local constabulary. But it’s “blown out of proportion” when trump is quoted saying he could “stand in the middle of 5th ave and shoot someone and not lose backers”.
What a country.

I wish that were true BeattyCat but the sad truth is my state of AZ is deep in the red. Both state gov’t chambers have had repub majorities since 1969. I sadly don’t see that changing any time soon. The majority of voters here are quite content to vote directly against their own self interest. They are a breed you cannot reason with.

The expression “wearing two hats” refers in the nomenclature to performing two jobs at the same time. For the Sheriff to consider “participating” in a Trump rally to be an actual job, well, that indicates either that he’s getting compensated for his appearance, which is probably illegal, or that he is simply stupid enough to conflate political advocacy with “work” in some form or fashion. Neither should come as a surprise to those of us who have followed this clown for the the past many years, but it will doubtless go unnoticed by our feckless fourth estate.
