Discussion: Arkansas Executes Two Inmates On The Same Gurney, Hours Apart

Disgusting race to complete state sanctioned murder before the drugs they purchased under false pretenses expire.

Now Gorsuch and Trump will have a shared “accomplishment” for the first 100 days to talk about when they have dinner. If they don’t want to talk about gutting State and Treasury, or Freeing Polluters to trash the country. Donald “accomplished” those alone. Beneath Pathetic.

Sounds like these prisoners got great healthcare until they were killed. Not.

Arkansas: Come for the scenery. Stay for the executions.™

Yes, they did. But not nearly as great as their legal representation.

We continue to maintain our standing on the list of countries who use capital punishment which includes China, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, etc. But we do it “humanely” and offer them a meal of their choice for their last one, right?

In Red states, use of “stay” and executions in the same sentence, accordin’ to Ol’ Sheriff Cess, is a felony.

I hate that Arkansas will be known as 'SlaughterHouseThree …and counting"…

It is ironic that executions had to be rushed because of the expiration date of a drug? What would happen if it was used after ?

What is a stronger word than ironic ?

As an Arkansawyer, I am ashamed of the current Redness of our government…

In practical terms, anyone who administered an expired drug could be the subject of an ethics complaint and lose their professional certification (yeah, even more past irony).

In PR terms, the expired drug could lose enough potency that execution would be horrifically botched even more than they apparently are already. (Yeah, I’m leaving out the moral terms because where do you go with that.)

Unmentioned in this story is the decade in solitary endured by all these doomed unfortunates before this macabre carnival of state-sponsored mortal sin.
A curious bookend and a priori punctuation with Aaron Hernandez who in contrast seems far luckier…

And we still manage to have a murder rate three to four times that of the countries that abolished the death penalty in the 1960s or earlier.

No one ever says any more that’s it a deterrent. It’s nothing but revenge and inhumanely carried out. My sweet dog was put to sleep far more gently.

Has Trump taken credit for this shit yet?
