OT, but her track record for picking winners goes unscathed…

Too bad, so sad, The poster child of Useful Idiots extends her stay at Chez Assange. What a moron.

Did she make the announcement about her Mike Gravel support from her mansion in Hollywood, her summer home in the south of France, or her chalet in St. Tropez? You know, the three places where she can bide her time away just in case her “Glorious Revolution” inspired by the election of Trump over Hillary never comes to fruition.

Apart from Gravel, Sarandon has donated $2,800 to Sanders and $500 to Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) so far in the 2020 cycle.

So, Hollywood Celebrity who is not a Democrat and who regularly attacks Democrats because they are not Revolutionary enough for her, and endorses Green Party candidates who can bleed votes from Democrats, is backing 3 different members of the large Democratic field for 2020 because she thinks, as a non-Democrat, that it is a good thing to have an 88 year old former Senator running as well as non-Democrat Tulsi Gabbard. Because what is really important isnt’ defeating the GOP and making sure they do not appoint RBG’s successor, but that the field and the Democratic Party, to which she does not belong, are pulled to her idea of what should be.

Stop lying — she was never tortured or abused. Her own attorneys have repeatedly conceded this in court.

If you were faced with a choice between life in prison and likely torture for whistle-blowing about massive illegal US government spying or leaving the country before they could imprison and prosecute you, what would you do?

YOLO.

“Likely torture.” LOL. Your flights of pure fiction are highly amusing. You amuse me — like a clown.

Solitary Confinement: Torture, Pure and Simple

Solitary confinement is so egregious a punishment that in 2011, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment condemned its use, except in exceptional circumstances and for as short a time as possible, and banned the practice completely for people with mental illnesses and for juveniles.

Despite its barbarity, the United States continues to place thousands of people, including individuals with mental illnesses and children, in solitary confinement, sometimes for decades.

Land of the free and home of the brave.

But, ha ha, funny.

Funny.

Nope. AOC. And Madonna.

I wouldn’t have done it.

Just so I’m getting it right, are you for a) a non surveillance society and b) an ‘open secrets’ government?

Done what?

@inversion

I wouldn’t have went the Snowden route. (just to be clear)

To lead off, I’m a vet. (FWIW)

My only problem with Manning and Snowden is that they revealed more than they needed to.

Had Manning released only the helicopter gunship video which clearly showed violations of the Geneva Conventions her supporters would have an easier time. (If you forgot, the gunship crew fired on civilian first responders, women and children.) As it is, I’m still okay with the commutation of her sentance as she only released the information after her evidence was ignored by her superiors, plus the fact that she was tortured while awaiting courts martial. (Being held in solitary confinement while naked for months is torture in my books.)

Unfortunately, we need whistleblowers; they should be protected by law.

I have no idea what “the Snowden route” means (just to be clear).

Your question presents two extreme and simplistic positions in a “yes” or “no” format, and is therefore unanswerable. Both “non-surveillance society” and "‘open secrets’ government’ require significant definition and nuance to define what they mean.

So you’re again ducking, because though your idea of what a whistle-blower is changeable, you either a) don’t know your answer/thoughts on either subject and b) you view my question as a loaded one and such, you again wanna ‘lead’, because your supposed strength suits you.
