Discussion: AP Poll: Majority Of Americans Worried About Loss Of Health Care Coverage

This is another one of those “No shit” polls.

A better poll would be whether the GOP in Congress give a crap.

Too little, too late American dunderheads! Enjoy the SUFFERING you’ve been so anxious for since the 2010 mid-terms. You’re getting your wish!

I hope they DO repeal it “root and branch!” as they’ve promised with NO replacement, and reap the whirlwind! We can surmise only intense suffering will be an effective teacher to the demented American voting public (as puny a group as they are).

The faster we crash and burn the faster we may inch toward single-payer. Will there be “human wreckage” Sadly, yes, but we as Americans are unable AND unwilling to have it any other way!

No.

So…no ideas at all after years of screaming, none.
Just have they done with their paid time, merely name Post Offices?

"There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can’t pay for it, you don’t get it. That’s not going to happen with us.”

“It’ll be another plan. But they’ll be beautifully covered. I don’t want single-payer. What I do want is to be able to take care of people,” [Trump] added.

They’re not going to be able to do those things anyway. No Democrat is going along with that agenda and its highly unlikely they’d have enough votes in the Senate to pass it with even a simple majority. These people want to get reelected. Paul Ryan can pass whatever Ayn Rand fever dream he so desires, but the Senate is a different story. McConnell didn’t nuke the filibuster for a reason, and not a single Republican complained about it for good reason. They don’t want to be saddled with the House’s bullshit either.

I just refuse to buy into all this trepidation that somehow Republicans can do anything and Democrats are powerless to stop them. That’s just not true. Democrats are in a stronger position than Republicans were after Ted Kennedy died and Scott Brown was elected. And they managed to gum up the works and halt Democrats and their agenda. There’s no reason Democrats can’t return the favor.

Me too. Although right at the moment I am pretty sick about what they are doing and boy do I intend to make them pay.

except that many of us who voted correctly are going to suffer too. Without the ACA, I will have no healthcare.

That’s just it, they’re doing the few things they can do without Congress’ help. Its happening this way for a reason. I just don’t want Democrats turning into fearful, conspiracy theorizing loons bawled up in the fetal position begging Republicans to stop hitting us.

I don’t either. So far I don’t think they or we are. It can take a minute once you get that jackbooted kick in the gut.

It’s really hard to see people here rooting for ACA repeal just to punish GOP voters. Many of us non-GOP voters are going to be really damaged by repeal, too. And people (like me) who are currently receiving health treatments are not going to be able to weather the several-year gap between a hypothetical repeal-replaced-with-singlepayer scenario that some folks around here seem to be willing to gamble for.

I can only hope with all my heart that you are right.

Here’s something that the republicans haven’t considered. Maybe there isn’t a better way to provide healthcare insurance, short of universal coverage.

And you too froggy! BOO YAH!

Blaming us Bernie supporters shows just how ridiculous your thinking is. Your girl Hillary spent more time thinking she could win Texas than thinking she might lose WI. Bernie exposed her and for that you want to blame him for her losing to Trump. I thought you had more smarts than that.

Asshole back at ya froggy.

Not to worry massie, the ACA isn’t going anywhere. Between the HC hospital industry, the Health Insurance carriers (who are presently ACA billion$ in the red), and their own constituents who are being scared shitless, the Bumblers trying to make Repeal and Replace somehow ‘work’ are as scared as you are. And then there’s the CBO stating replacement has to be of ‘equal value’. That was the Republicans only way out, replacing decent/good HC with catastrophic policies. They know now the outcome isn’t worth the battle.

It’s a public forum froggy. You say ‘fuck you all’ and expect nothing in return? Fine, go kiss Josh’s ass and see if you can get your mute button. He’ll consider it for maybe three seconds before laughing.
