I’m waiting for Charlie Baker, of Massachusetts, to get into the melee to get his state (and mine) excluded from drilling. He’s up for election this year, and if he can’t get Mass. out of the new policy, his big current lead could melt like the snow.

Trump doesn’t get that their are certain things you aren’t supposed to say in public. Have people figured out that Keystone XL and Dakota Access are intended to punish the people whose land they go through?

It’s the 21st Century fer crissakes! Why are we still addicted to 19th Century technology? NOBODY wants more oil- except oil companies. Every damn auto manufacturer is moving to hybrid or all-electric. Cities and countries are prepping to ban internal combustion engines.
ONLY big oil, Zinke and Pruitt want to drill more.

Many coastal states rely on even somewhat pristine waters for tourism and quality of life. Not to mention, some of these areas are home to some very wealthy elites. If places like LA want to turn into a watery wasteland, that’s on them.

This is simple corruption. Quid Pro Quo. Donate to Trump and Republicans, and they will pass your laws. Don’t, and they will legislate hardship.
