A face only a motherfucker could love. And the journalistic integrity of a pregnant stinkbug.
April Fool’s!
Is it?
They’re not just stocking up on irrational Hillary-haters?
I often disagree with him…but he’s never dull. I look forward to reading him again but I hope my blood pressure can handle it.
I loved The Daily Dish, but I’m guessing the timing of this hiring (assuming it isn’t an April Fool’s joke) has as much to do with his Clinton Derangement Syndrome as his writing skills.
Hoping this is not an April Fools joke.
I don’t agree with Sullivan a lot of the time, but his blog was one of the best things on the Web, and he has been sorely missed. Welcome back Andrew. Didn’t think you would be able to stay gone for good.
Andrew Sullivan was a radical Thatcherite Tory in his youth, and still is, so is his “moderate conservatism” is merely a measure of just how insane the Republicans have become since he came to America.
I’ve read him off and on, and I find him overrated, rarely offering insight or anything new.
Why? Wasn’t New Republic hiring? Oh, that’s right! I forgot that he helped destroy that magazine.

April Fools, right?
I am sure Ted Cruz anti-gay rhetoric and posturing will be more than enough to temper his Clinton Derangement Syndrome .
I don’t understand all the vitriol. Is political viewpoint all we care about on TPM? The Dish was the best thing online. Period. Sullivan is likeable, interesting, informed, lucid, and idiosyncratic. As a reader I don’t ask for more. I certainly don’t ask for lockstep conformity to my own preferences and biases.
I guess I better prepare for the raft of anti-Hillary screeds about to be unleashed.
I miss his blog, and his insights, but his seemingly irrational, and bottomless, hatred for Hillary Clinton a turn-off.
Mixed feelings about this. I am apprehensive about his Clinton Derangement Syndrome. In the past, he has admitted mistakes, (the support of GW Bush’s war), but he does make mistakes and CDS is one of them.
Wait…he was gone? I didn’t notice, and now you say he’s back to wow us with his astute observations once more? In all, I’d rather he just stay gone. But who cares, and that is the point…
NEVER underestimate the power of CDS.
Andrew was delightful in his blog, with the motto “Biased and Balanced”. The opinions were his, were independent, and he would admit when they were wrong.
I wonder how long it will be until his aversion to sponsored content becomes an issue.
I figured he could not resist staying silent during this election. He has some serious CDS,
