Same GOP bullshit, in an incredibly unappealing wrapper .

tRUMP’s inaugural speech was much the usual pablum we grew accustomed to during his campaign except this bit which stood out for me…

“At the bedrock of our politics will be a total alligence to the United States of America, and through our loyalty to our country, we will rediscover our loyalty to each other. When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice. The Bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.”

These statements, without rhetorical exaggeration, are frightening because they are fascist.

He will introduce tariffs and then take bribes to not push them with the business which pays him.

Trump’s view of reality.

From this rationale, any effort by Trump to rattle “the establishment” deserves to be rewarded with one of his assets getting a little piece of the action.

Trump will make decisions based foremost on his interests. America is not first. Just the last resort.

Isolationism, nationalism, and a call for loyalty to him.
All that was missing was a parade of soldiers marching in goose-step.

But he wants to empower the forgotten people … such as white nationalists, homophobes, and misogynists … and return true power to corporate CEOs, Wall Street heavy hitters, the fossil fuel industries, as well as private education and private-run prison enterprises.

the president-elect’s 17 cabinet-level picks have a net worth of at least $9.5 billion — that’s more money than the poorest third of Americans, or 43 million households, combined.

This inaugural speech was as tone deaf and un-self aware as his lead balloon comments at the Alfred Smith Dinner. This man, for all his self grandiosity and delusions, has the inherent persona of a sleazy used car salesman (there are good used car salesmen) and he cannot shed or grow out of it. This is who he is and has always been.

The best thing to do in the face of ignorance is educate! Trumps actions so far wont create jobs…they will destroy them
