Discussion for article #225398
The problem is that these sheriffs near the border are thinking and they actually know something about the situation. If they just made like a true Texan and went with their gut, theyâd see the logic in Perryâs approach.
Since when has anything the GOP does make sense outside of the needs to cry and whine about President Obama for their idiot base?
For years now, they have abandoned any pretense of actual governance.
abandoned?
Perryâs plan revealed as a useless, expensive political stunt? Why I do declare!
Where are my smelling salts?
General Perry has, in response, ordered that the Guard deployments will continue until Anglos are once again in the majority in Texas.
The takeaway is that Democrats should never do what Republicans do or want to do.
President George W. Bush sent the National Guard to the border in 2006, which Obama extended in 2010.
If a republican wants or or does it, guaranteed itâs going to be wrong, fail, blow-up, or enrich the rich, or some combination of all of the above, always to include the last one.
If making sense is going to be used as a criterion for judging Perryâs actions, weâre going to be waiting a long time for a winner.
Once again we see the agile mind, and superior problem solving skills that Perry would bring to the presidency.
âThose DPS people that are down here,â he said. âThereâs one every mile,
or every half a mile. And then every once in a while youâll see a
cluster or three or four of them chatting. They are doing absolutely
nothing.â
Sounds like a typically Republican plan to create jobs: hire a bunch of their friends to sit around and get in the way.
OMFG, thank you for Rick Perry. He beats all the other RWNJâ by a factor of 10. Please, proceed. Thank you, TX.
Doh. Damn-autocorrect. (fixed)
HmmmâŚPerryâs ensmartment glasses seem to have failed him this time.
Anyone who thinks Perry is doing this out of the goodness of his heart and his superior knowledge doesnât know anything about the Tea Party. Heâs doing this to say to Obama âMine are bigger than yoursâ and that Texas is a country with its own army, not a state. Personally, Iâd be glad to give Texas and its neighboring Tea Party states their own country.
Maybe Perryâs balls are bigger but Obamaâs are prettier.
I think it makes as much sense as he and another âWalker, Texas Rangerâ âpatrolingâ a river on a boat standing behind 50 caliber machine guns. To Texans, Rick Perry is great at being governor, so long as he doesnât think or say anything.
Icky Ricky wants to be the President. He thinks that spending millions a month of Texanâs tax payer dollars will help him. The sheriffs of South Texas would have told him to send money for taking care of the kiddos, but instead have to host a bunch of national guard folks who canât help on the policing end of things.
Perry is a mental midgetâŚof course we all know that.
If those border area sheriffs just started wearing glasses, theyâd see the wisdom in Perryâs approach.
More fiscal responsibility from the Tea Party. At a time when there has never been more CBP personnel assigned to the Southern Border, we have a Tea Party genius Governor willing to spend $17 million of the Texas taxpayers money to do nothing but provide a political moment for him. Clearly, intelligence and ethics is a liability in the Tea Party.
