For those that are gloating or complaining that we all knew Trump sucked, how he lied, what his “tell is” my question is why didn’t any of the other 16 Republican candidates know this, talk about this, and show him for what he is? Republican shouldn’t get a free pass on this shit storm coming our way. They helped create the beast and the beast will help destroy the GOP if the Democrats blame, point out, and push the narrative in the way we want.
I just hope that this fool doesn’t take us into another war on the Korean peninsula and get folks killed because Republican are too chicken to take control. I also blame wunderkind Bannon who should have known how Washington works, has also been in the position to make deals, and still comes out of this stinking of Mercer money and booze. My next question is who gets fired next from Trump’s inner circle, and his kids won’t be able save him.

He’s a well heeled grifter who attracted a motley crew of third rate political hacks, sycophants, losers, and nut jobs, and, with the help of the Russians, a damaged opponent, and a desperate segment of the electorate stumbled into the presidency, driven by his astonishing ability to spin pure golden bullshit.
It is all beyond any kind of belief, conviction, or consistent deliberation. It’s just a simple selling of sizzle; the steak is irrelevant. Once one figures out he’ll be satisfied thinking that he made a sale, any sale, it’s easy to play him. That’s why he loves those big executive order signings. To him they represent promises met. He’s a bullshit artist who is the ultimate consumer of his own crap.

I would add that great disparity in wealth of contracting parties (Trump vs. contractors) enables one to drive the contract to favorable terms. [Without class action lawsuits, larger companies can steal $5 or $20 / month from thousands monthly, threatening to stonewall any individual.] So inherited wealth is positively reinforcing in some types of business.
And failing hugely requires the side that would lose the most to keep you afloat. “… But if the bank lends you $5B dollars and you can’t pay, the bank is in trouble.” So banks are eager to protect his ventures (and their money) from failing, which establishes a record of big deals. He can leverage those (in the same way debt can leverage buyouts) to swing new, even larger deals.

Trump always thought that he could use his reality TV skills to handle real world problems. He knew that it would be a daily struggle because of his lack of knowledge on the issues. His massive ego makes him believe that he can somehow fool us into thinking he is up for the job.

- They were all ineffective debaters (save Cruz)
- The media massively favored Trump
- Trump followers didn’t care

Said it from the get go…saw him in action and he does not negoiate. …He pitches the idea and is allowed to leave…the lawyers negoiate and close… Historically, he overpaid and caused cost overruns…indecisive and goes from bullies to bluster to wimp in a heartbeat… 400+bald faced lies in 100 days
