Oh, excellent! The “defenders” of the Constitution want to outlaw the First Amendment.

Getting surrealer by the day…

Not to mention that since the “crime” took place outside of North Carolina their law wouldn’t apply anyway.

Actually, it’s a circular argument: they’re “these people” because there is something wrong with them…

So they want to repeal the First Amendment in North Carolina? They tried that once. It was called the Civil War. It did not end well for them.

I think there are some so-far uninhabited islands in the Aleutian chain. Perhaps the native peoples would sell them.

Right. He gets to stand at the pulpit, in front of the national cameras and in the halls of the peoples’ government to shout down the LGBT community, calling them immoral, disgusting, abhorrent and a danger to society and children, but nobody gets to shout at him on an open street? Fuck that. If your actions make a pariah out of you, you already made your choice. Live with it or go get some rope, buttercup.

Minor point - Brown’s in the state House, not the state Senate.

“Ubiquitous leftist rioters. They’re everywhere!!"

Essentially they want lèse-majestÊ laws that will cover them for life whether they are the current monarch (in their own eyes) or not.

That will work out well. I’m sure Sessions would help defend it before the Supreme Court personally.

Evidently the plan is to make that space North Carolina.
