Thank you for this. I’m glad to see what I heard wasn’t as bad as it first seemed. In fact, I like him more for being willing to listen to criticism and adjust his policies.
I’m also uncertain if she’s the one who will win the nomination, but I am certain she’s the best candidate and antidote to cheatolini ™
I don’t think she’s dismissive of people who can pay the legal max in one month, more that she won’t take money from sources who have no effective legal maximum.
And it’s my believe that the money she’s eschewing is EXACTLY the money that is the source of our problems. It’s that money that supports big banks, big pharma, big oil, climate denialism, big ag, gun “rights” etc.
Look at all the policies that have broad popular appeal and then ask yourself why none seem to get enacted. Only Warren has been clear, articulate and straightforward in her goals and has demonstrated an unrelenting willingness to confront the adversary head. WIth all the others we hear soft platitudes that lack the kind of conviction needed to join this battle, the lone exception is Sanders. THe major difference being Bernie claims the Socialist banner while Elizabeth fights under the Capitalist with Rules rubric.
Ever watch her take on those entrenched powers during a Senate hearing? I’m looking forward to seeing her on the debate stage with her ability to clearly and concisely make her points.
Amen, and worth repeating. I fell for her the first time I saw her on Bill Maher long before the CFPB or the Senate and have been a huge fan ever since. She has never disappointed.
Another way in which Mayor Pete is the anti-Trump!
The ability to take criticism and deal with it appropriately, whether ignoring it, refuting it, or learning from it, is a quality that never seems to get much attention in media discussions of who is most qualified for public office. Nevertheless, I think it is among the most vital characteristics.
I first encountered Warren on Bill Moyers’ Journal on PBS and was beyond impressed. He had some of the most amazing women as guests.
After seeing Bri2K’s comments I went searching online. A good account is a Buzzfeed article. It starts off rather harsh on Pete but if you read the entire article it turns out to not be such a bad deal. His main city critic thinks quite highly of him.
Please learn a bit more about this before making such a dark accusation. It’s not quite the story you are implying.
Just read your comment. Forget my comment about the darkness.
She is so smart. Not “politically” smart, not “street smart”, not “pundit panel smart”. Just…”understands really complex issues” smart. I’ll support any Democrat that wins the primary wholeheartedly. But I really really believe that she is so much more qualified than anyone else to be a great president. I hope it happens. Just remember her presidency terrifies the hell out of Mitch McConnell.
As a supporter, I will take that as a compliment ![]()

As much as I like her, she will come off as too professorial and too wonky to the average, low-information voter. The GOP will paint her as an egghead who is out of touch with real people (nothing is farther from the truth, mind you, but they will make it stick).
She will make her points, as you say, and then be derided for being elitist. I see this already and we’re not even there yet.
