Remember a few years ago when all the Republicans warned us about “becoming Greece”? Encouraging tax evasion will certainly bring us closer to being like Greece.

Something I also remember was during the aughts while we were actively fighting wars on two fronts, the airwaves abounded with firms telling people they shouldn’t pay the IRS all they owed. All aimed at the kind of guy that has a great big flag bumpersticker on every vehicle he owns.

From your comment I’m not sure if you understand that Starve the beast is an actual conservative thing. It’s why Reagan ran up huge deficits before he blinked.
I think I understand the concept, it’s what Republicans use to justify that they need to cut spending-hence they’ll start with SS, Medicaid, and Medicare.

Yes, last year’s $1T tax cut followed by “need” to cut domestic spending - it is coming to fruition.
