Once again, the victims are an afterthought. I wonder what any god thinks of his “thoughts and prayers.”

Soon like another year or two…maybe…?

Oh God. Maybe they could have used say, 1.4 trillion dollars for infrastructure? I guess infrastructure doesn’t trickle down like corporate tax cuts, unless your sitting in a car on I-5 this morning.

---- what do you mean that’s not what he meant?

Barney Frank was on Lawrence on Friday lamenting that among the many, many horrible effects of the tax plan was that there was no money left for any promised infrastructure project.

Unless, of course, they severely cut Medicare, SS, and Medicaid…which of course has been part of the tax plan strategy all along.

The 1% are going to trickle down the funding for this, right?

But the first responders are “wonderful” and they were wearing such incredible uniforms, they looked amazing, but if only they weren’t sweating so much. Ruins the look.

How is it possible that he supports a scam tax bill and then talks about infrastructure? He is delusional.

Our new normal; a government of “soon to be…”

So it’s okay to politicize the victims of a train crash, but not the victims of gun violence?

Okay, Donnie.

More like a gov’t of “used to be …”

As in: used to be the gov’t fixed infrastructure; used to be America was a leader in world diplomacy; used to be the EPA protected the environment instead of corporate polluters; and so on.

If any kind of infrastructure “plan” is submitted, it will involve privatizing road, bridge and other construction with lots of deregulation thrown in for good measure.

He also has congress with goats.

If only Obama had had an infrastructure plan … maybe 7 or 8 years ago, that the cooperative Republicans in Congress could have helped move through so some of the repairs could have already been completed. Oh, right.

That would have been such a great idea as a stimulus for the economy after the great crash! Oh. McConnell - primary goal = Make sure Obama is a one-term president.

Problem is nothing was shovel ready, except for a whole bunch of railroad infrastructure projects.

No no. It’s okay for tRump to politicize anything. It’s wrong for anyone opposing him to politicize a gun shooting.

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean his administration supports spending that much in tax dollars. Rather, Trump administration officials have promoted a plan of funding so-called public-private partnerships — in other words, publicly financing a fraction of that total sum in exchange for private companies further investing in, and profiting from, infrastructure projects.

That is such a horrible idea. I assume the roads will be hollow, the bridges made of paper mache, and cop cars will be cardboard cutouts. Literally everything will have a card-swipe on it for some crap pay-as-you-go scheme.
