While the task force’s report repeatedly emphasizes that Trump has not personally encouraged or condoned such hate speech, it contains striking findings about how his campaign has animated anti-Semites.
I get the ADL’s desire to remain non-partisan and avoid taking sides in this race, even if it means being disingenuous, but I think this would be a good point for some journalistic intervention. The article linked to shortly before this part contains Donald’s response to Ioffe’s ugly harassment, a refusal to condemn the anti-Semitic death threats:
“Oh, I don’t know about that. I don’t know anything about that,” said Trump. “You’ll have to talk to them about it. I don’t have a message to the fans."

I think it would be useful to note this is the kind of refusal to condemn that Donald’s “alt-Right”/white nationalist/neo-Nazi fans have repeatedly celebrated as proof that he is on their side. This, in addition to the not uncommon anti-Semitic rhetoric from Donald himself (which is briefly mentioned in this article, but not thoroughly reviewed) is pretty damming.
I don’t mean to be critical. I just think this is useful context. Though the readers at TPM undoubtedly fill in this context themselves, being as well-informed as they are, so I guess it’s not like this is USA Today.
